In Case Of An Emergency
Brooken tooth and toothache
In the event of a broken tooth or toothache, thoroughly rinse out your mouth with warm water. Apply a cold compress on the side where the injury or ache is occurring. This helps reduce any swelling that may occur. If the pain persists and you cannot get to the dentist right away you can take over-the-counter medication to help alleviate the pain until you can get to a dentist.

Knocked out teeth
Quickly rinse the tooth out in water to get rid of any possible debris. Do not scrub the tooth nor hold it by the root. You should always hold the tooth by the crown. You can either place tooth in the mouth, (self-implanting) until you can get to your dentist or you can put the tooth in saline solution or milk. NEVER PLACE THE TOOTH IN WATER. Your mouth is the best place for your tooth because it keeps the root moist and it will not be exposed to bacteria. Quickly call our office to have the take care of (540)657-0867.
